Much of the beauty of Ikebana Ikenobo is not what the eyes see, but what is invisible to the eye. In this arrangement in the Rikka Shofutai classical style, for example, almost all plants were wired to stand in the exact position. Note the mizuguiwa, the straight line that lies between the waterline and the arrangement itself.
