No estilo Rikka Shofutai, cada galho é colocado de tal forma a sugerir uma imagem. Preste atenção no primeiro galho que aparece à direita, de baixo para cima. Em japonês, ele se chama Nagashi e evoca um riozinho que corre docemente pelo vale, em busca do oceano representado pela água do vaso. Este arranjo é um Rikka Shofutai (clássico) Sugushin, pois tem o shin reto (aqui representado pelas duas flores roxas altas).

Shofutai Rikka style: each branch is placed in such a way as to suggest an image. Pay attention to the first branch that appears to the right, bottom to top. In Japanese it is called Nagashi. It evokes a stream that flows gently through the valley in search of the ocean represented by the water of the vase.
This arrangement is called Rikka Shofutai (classical) Sugushin as it has the right shin (represented here by the two tall purple flowers).
